Malibu® Boats is one of the top global manufacturers of wakesurfing, wakeboard, and ski boats. Everyone knows of Malibu Boats in the marine world, and it's even said that one out of every two boats is a Malibu boat. Gordy's Marine in Wisconsin & Illinois is your source for boats and boating accessories. We also welcome customers from Madison and Janesville, Wisconsin, and Waukegan, Illinois.

History of Malibu® Boats

In 1982, half a dozen friends got together to build a new style of watersport boat. They decided to begin an Employee Stock Ownership Program in 1986. With the employees owning a portion of the business, they took more pride in their work and produced higher quality boats.

Malibu Boats has three manufacturing locations. These are their headquarters in California; a factory in Louden, Tennessee; and a location in New South Wales, Australia. The company also offers a limited lifetime warranty on their hulls, decks, and stringers. The company's primary investor, Black Canyon Capital, has held ownership since 2006. It employs over 700 people worldwide at its various locations.

Top Performance and The Limited Lifetime Warranty

As a leading provider of waterskiing, tubing, and wakeboarding boats, Malibu boats must perform at its best every time. If you take care of your boat, you shouldn't have problems. However, leaving it outside throughout the year or not keeping up with the hull after use will void the warranty. Plus, you should take care of the upholstery with a vinyl protectant and do the required maintenance as directed in the owner's manual.

As boating enthusiasts know, it's exhilarating to think about the next boating season. It's getting warmer out, and you can hardly wait to get out on the water. However, with that anticipation, there's also uncertainty because you may be thinking, "Is my boat going to start?" All of Malibu's boats house an inboard engine that was built explicitly for fuel efficiency and dependability.

Fiberglass Engine Chassis System (FibECS)

This commitment to high quality also crosses over to the patented FibECS. When Malibu created this structure in 1993, the thought was to remove all wooden aspects from its builds. Malibu claims that since the release of this system in that year, it has not had any structural defects in over 30,000 boats manufactured!

Take comfort in the fact that Malibu only manufactures watercrafts, so they know their stuff when it comes to recreational watersports. With the lifetime warranty and proper care of your boat, it will last you for many years. Feel free to stop by Gordy's Marine in Wisconsin and Illinois to learn more about Malibu Boats. We serve Madison and Janesville, Wisconsin, as well as Waukegan, Illinois, too!
